Growing up in Clovis, Ca, Lori was inspired by her artistic mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who encouraged her lifelong journey into art. She moved to the east coast to attend college in Baltimore at the Maryland Institute College of Art majoring in illustration with a minor in ceramics. Having a variety of art styles and an interest in pop culture, Lori found work at Fifth Sun in Chico, Ca as a graphic designer and illustrator for t-shirts and apparel in 2005. Fifth Sun has now become part of Mad Engine Global and Lori is a senior artist in the e-commerce department leading design for such recognizable brands such as Disney, NBC, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and more.
In 2014 Lori backpacked Europe on a quest to discover the old masters, contemporary art, architecture and ancient cathedrals and all the museums she could find. That year she studied limestone sculpture carving during a trip to Scotland. Art has been a core part of Lori’s life: sketching, painting, drawing, digital art and even stop-motion. She has a never ending thirst for learning new mediums and imaginatively creating all of the ideas in her head. She has recently begun participating in small pop-up art markets and fairs selling original art under the moniker, LORIESQUE STUDIO. During these markets she draws "Demented" portraits of willing participants. They seem to be a hit.
